Control how users enter your app, sign up, log in, browse as guests, and access the right experience from the moment the app opens.
App user access covers the screens and settings that decide how people enter your app. You can show a consent screen, allow users to browse as guests, ask them to register, or let them log in using email, OTP, Google, or Apple.
The exact setup depends on the type of app you are building. For WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify apps, login works with the same customer accounts used on your website or store. For Custom App projects, AppMySite manages the user database inside the platform.
You can start with an optional consent screen. This screen appears when the app launches and can be used to show a message, warning, eligibility check, age confirmation, location restriction, or any other entry condition. You control the content, design, background, and button text. One button lets the user continue into the app, while the other exits the flow.
After that, users can enter the app based on the access options you enable. You can allow guest browsing, email login, OTP login, Google login, and Apple login. You can also decide whether users should stay logged in or be asked to log in every time they launch the app.
For WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify apps, the login experience stays connected to the website or store. If a customer signs up on the web, they can use the same account in the app. If they sign up in the app, the account is available on the web as well. This keeps the customer account, login, order history, and other account-based areas consistent across both experiences.
Customer records for WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify continue to be managed in the relevant website or store admin area. For Custom App projects, registered users are managed inside AppMySite, where you can view customer records, see when users signed up or last logged in, check their status, and block or delete users when needed.
